Caps & Gowns, and Graduation Announcements
This year the NMT Bookstore will be serving your cap & gown needs for the spring graduation
ceremony. Please visit the Bookstore website,www.nmtechbookstore.com, afterMarch 1stto view their selection and purchase your regalia.
The cost to purchase regalia is not included in the graduation fee. The graduation
fee, which has remained flat for over a decade, helps to offset the cost of diploma
printing and other general expenses related to graduation. The fee is paid by all
graduating students regardless of whether they desire regalia. Over the years, NMT
has maintained a quiet tradition of absorbing the cost of regalia for the graduates.
However, and regretfully, our recent increasing graduating classes, coupled with shrinking
budgets, makes it impossible for us to continue this amenity.
We are requiring students to fill out a walking and pronunciation form to RSVP for
commencement, which helps us to know which students are walking, so we can update
walking and commencement lists, and know who to expect. If we do not receive the student's
Intent to Walk Form by April 12th, the student will not be able to participate in
commencement. There will be no exceptions to this.
You can double check the walking list on the "Walking List" tab below to verify that
you are walking. If your name does not appear this means that you have not notified
our office of your plans to participate and/or have not purchased your cap and gown
from the bookstore. If you are planning to participate please contact our office
immediately so we can work with you. If we do not receive the student's Intent to Walk Form by April 12th, the student
will not be able to participate in commencement. There will be no exceptions to this.
Graduation Announcements are ordered at the students or parents discretion. You can
order announcements through NMT bookstore by coming in, in person or you can visit www.nmtechbookstore.com.
If we do not receive the student's Intent to Walk Form by April 12th, the student
will not be added to the walking list and will not be able to participate in commencement.
